NEW Bird Santuary

Opening mid June 2011

Our brand new raised hide overlooking the lake is nearly ready. It's taken since last Autumn to clear the meadow and overgrown pathways leading to the lake. Now with a lot of hard work it's all taking shape nicely and the construction of the final piece of our naturalist jigsaw is just about ready.

The hide will take up to a dozen people at any one time and gives extensive views of the birds without disturbing their habitat. If you are patient or lucky, you may see Otters, Heron even Deer that live around the wetland.

Lotmead Farm now opening

Late May 2011

2011 has started off as a great year with lovely warm Spring sunshine arriving much earlier than expected, which in turn has enabled us to open earlier than our normal schedule which is in the first week in June. Who knows what the rest of this summer will bring? It could be sunshine or soggy showers which is great for all things that need to grow, but not much fun if you end up stuck indoors.
