Lotmead Farm is a family run, family friendly activity farm just outside Swindon and the perfect place for a relaxing summer's day out.

Known locally for our fabulous 'pick your own' Strawberries, fresh fruit and vegetables, you are welcome to come and visit us FOR FREE any time during the week from 9.30am throughout the summer months from late May until October 2012.

Real Dairy Farm

Established in the 1950's as a traditional dairy farm, Lotmead opened its gates to visitors in the mid 1980's and has since grown to include a small animal enclosure especially for kids.

Follow the paths through pets corner and you'll find yourself in the midst of the everyday activities of a real working farm. You'll see farm workers and discover all sorts of fascinating machinery just a short walk away.

Dairy Parlour

Everyday at 3.30pm you can see the cows being milked from our visitors gallery inside the milking 

where information is available about the whole process as you watch. By arrangement, farm walks can also be organised to give you a greater insight into the world of dairy farming.

Lots to do

We've acres of space to run around in with some great activities and attractions. There's a small lake with its own bird sanctuary and close by, pets corner which has a selection pygmy goats, ponies, alpacas, pigs, sheep, chickens, guinea pigs and lots of small furry animals that children simply adore.

There's also an outdoor play area with wooden climbing frames, chutes, slides and swings that proves an ideal outlet for younger children full of energy and fun.

Farm shop

Our well stocked farm shop sells fresh farm produce along with natural dairy foods, jams, fruits and vegetables. We also serve hot snacks, tea, coffee, ice cream and soft drinks and juices.

The shop overlooks the play park so you can sit

outside and relax with a bite to eat, a cup of tea or coffee and keep an eye on the kids as they play.

Always Surprising

Visit Lotmead and depending on when and what's going on, you may end up watching model boats and aircraft (although it's not guaranteed) - even the real thing as we have our very own Gypsy Moth classic biplane which you may spot flying overhead!
